Reducing UK Oil Dependency: The Role of Public Transport Print
Tuesday, 18 October 2011, 6:30pm - 8:00pm by  This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it Hits : 1349

Speaker: Tim Pharoah (Transport Planning Consultant)

Greater use of public transport could reduce oil consumption in the UK.  But how can public transport be made attractive enough so that people will choose to leave their cars at home? Could the celebrated Swiss public transport model work in the UK? What would a truly integrated public transport system in the UK look like?  Addressing these questions will be transport and planning consultant Tim Pharoah, who in a 40 year career as an academic and campaigner has authored books and articles on urban design, public transport and traffic calming.
