Speaker: Tim Pharoah (Transport Planning Consultant)
Greater use of public transport could reduce oil consumption in the UK. But how can public transport be made attractive enough so that people will choose to leave their cars at home? Could the celebrated Swiss public transport model work in the UK? What would a truly integrated public transport system in the UK look like? Addressing these questions will be transport and planning consultant Tim Pharoah, who in a 40 year career as an academic and campaigner has authored books and articles on urban design, public transport and traffic calming.
